MASU delegation took part in the «Arctic Arts Summit» in Rovaniemi
On June 3-5, the delegation of MASU took part in the biggest annual event «Arctic Arts Summit 2019» dedicated to the development of arts and design in the northern territories.
Representatives from MASU were Tatiana Batova, senior lecturer of the Department of Arts, Consumer services and Tourism; Mikhail Uksusov, Advisor of the Research and International Cooperation office; Polina Malyshkina and Alisa Mikhailova, students of the Department of Arts, Consumer services and Tourism.
Tatyana presented her work on popularizing the Nenets language through lettering (calligraphy) technique, its promotion in social networks and demonstrated ready-made clothing prototypes inspired by the functionality and clothing of the indigenous peoples of the north.
Besides, members of the delegation took part in the meeting of the thematic network of the University of the Arctic on the sustainable development of the Arctic Arts and ASAD network and also attended numerous panel discussions, workshops and exhibitions.
